It’s like diving a new site.

You won’t know exactly what you’ll see, but have a rough idea.

  • You know you’ll be underwater —that’s a good start. ????
  • You know what’s the water temperature on surface, and can guesstimate what it’ll be as you go deeper. So you prepare accordingly. A wetsuit, a drysuit or just a rashguard.
  • You know you might encounter currents and surges. You’re aware of what changes happen.
  • You know how long you can stay below water, depending on your equipment and depth.

What you don’t know

What kind of underwater life is there.

The beauty rests there. You can find corals, whales, sea lions, nudibranches (tiny tiny super cool molluscs), tons of fishes, sharks, sea snakes, crocs (let’s hope not ????) or new life and species.

Same happens with finding the product-market gaps. You might guess what’s down there, but the more you explore that (sorta) known unknown, more unmet needs you’ll find and your own, different, un-fit ways to solve them.

The beauty of it? You can dictate the rules in your game.
