Making sure your team stays productive

Whether or not your team or organization or collabs are remote or on-site, trying to “ensure they stay productive” is nonsense.

Ensure they stay productive.
That premise itself assumes they are not.
It assumes they need to be checked on —like irresponsible, little kids.
It assumes they need to take orders and be under control (of someone else) at all times.
It assumes that if you don’t ensure they do X, they won’t work.

And you know what? If that’s the case, it’s on you.

Because they’re being treated like kids.
Because they’re being treated like followers.
