They say they’re worthless. That without execution, ideas are pointless. That they’re just a thought.
Actually…

And that’s why most indie consultants and creators do:
- Ideation
- Strategy
- Roadmapping
- Diagnostics
- Brains Work
for free.
Because of the (mis)belief that without doing the execution, they (the ideas, the person) don’t have value.
That might be true IF the execution was tied to the thinking.
Which is not how life and reality works.
You can have and design ideas for your clients, and get them to pay for them. Without needing to execute any of them.
Cutting the link between your brain work and your hands work will give you leverage.
Because
- You’ll give options to your customers.
- You’ll be focused on the quality of the way to get to the bigger picture.
- You’ll focus on how to create that change they want, instead of what’s the scope of work.
- You’ll shift your thinking from self- to others-focus. On how they can thrive.
And you’ll be ok to walk away if it’s not the right time.
You don’t need to execute all the things.
Execution is a part. But it’s not the most important part.
Your ideas have value (in the right place and context).
